Admitted to the Bar in 2002. He Graduated from the University of Ghana, first in 1993 In Business Administration and then in Banking & Finance and later in 2002 with an MBA. Called to the Bar after a two-year qualifying with a Preliminary Law Certificate and professional law course at the Ghana School of Law.

He has also attended the Alliance Française d’Accra for advance proficiency certificate in French and the Goethe Institut for Practical German. He also attended the Ghana Institute of Journalism for course in Public Relations.

Alex undertook his pupillage with the law firm of Messrs. Akufo-Addo, Prempeh & Co., in 2002 and practised at the said firm thereafter till 2014. He has attended a number of executive law courses in New York and Texas in the United States and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

He was appointed Notary Public by the Honorable Chief Justice of Ghana in 2019.

Alex successfully led the legal team to defend a client’s case at the London Court of International Arbitration against a major affiliate of the World Bank Group in a $40 million case and successfully obtained an anti-anti-suit injunction at the Commercial Court in Ghana to restrain the said affiliate of the world bank from proceeding with a suit at the high court in London, the first such successful application obtained in Ghana.

He has chalked success in landmark cases reported in the Supreme Court of Ghana Law Reports.

Alex is fluent in English and French and has working knowledge in Spanish and German.
