Nicholas Freduah Kwarteng is a lawyer of seventeen (17) years standing and a Partner at our firm.

Nick graduated with an LL.B. degree from the University of Ghana in 2001 and proceeded to the Ghana School of Law for his professional law course.

After his call to the Bar in 2003, he worked in the Civil Division of the Attorney-General’s Chambers as a State Attorney.

In 2008, he was admitted to the degree of Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Commercial Law at the Birmingham Law School, University of Birmingham, UK.

He specializes in corporate and commercial law and leads the Oil and Gas and Mining Team of the firm.

Since October 2014 Nick has been a member of the Faculty of Law of the Central University in Accra having previously been a lecturer at the Methodist University College, Ghana, from 2009 to 2015, where he taught law-related courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Nick has authored two (2) books – Business Law: Cases and Materials and Principles of Labour Law: Cases, Materials and Critique.

He also co-authored Ghana Legal System & Legal Methods with Dr. Ernest Owusu-Dapaa.

Nick’s principal research interests are in the fields of Ghana Legal System and Methods, Trust Law, Commercial Law, Company Law, Labour Law, Conflict of Laws, and World Trade Organisation (WTO) Law.
